PATIENT SATISFACTION WITH PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES The School of Public Health carried out the “Patient Satisfaction with Primary Health Care Services” field survey in order to find out how delivery of primary health care services is perceived by patients living in two groups of provinces, which have launched and have not launched the Family Medicine (FM) implementation yet, to set out differences between these groups of provinces – if any, and to analyze both satisfaction and dissatisfaction of primary health service users with primary health care services delivered in all provinces across Turkey. “Patient Satisfaction with Primary Health Care Services” book gave important results and some of them are as follows: - Patient satisfaction with the most recently visited primary health care facility was found to be 82,8 % in provinces with the FM implementation and 80,1 % in provinces without the FM implementation while the average satisfaction ratio was 81,2 % for all provinces. - In provinces with the FM implementation, Kırıkkale province – with 98,84 % - had the highest satisfaction ratio and Kayseri province – with 54,62 % - had the lowest satisfaction ratio. - In provinces without the FM implementation, Afyon province – with 94,16 % - had the highest satisfaction ratio and Batman province – with 48,45 % - had the lowest satisfaction ratio. At the end of the survey, the School of Public Health published the “Patient Satisfaction with Primary Health Care Services” book – the fourth book of the School of Public Health’s Research Series – in Turkish and English languages.
